95 Theses for New Millennium Learning

Declaration of Intent and Purpose

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a ____new generation of learners ____to transform the traditional paradigm of School which has defined formal instruction for centuries, and to exercise among the rights of free speech granted them by the laws of nature and nature's God, their intention to establish new paradigms of formal education which respect both the natural psychologies of learning as well as markedly changed conditions in the information and technological landscape, __a decent respect to the opinions of humankind requires they should __declare the causes which impel them to make this declaration. (1)

(This first section seems very divisive. Are the "new generation of learners" not actually a subset of "humankind" Do we cut off the branch from the tree and expect it to grow faster?)

Out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light, as well as our abiding need as a society to provide educational opportunities for all learners which exceed common expectations (assuming these are static?), the following propositions will be discussed online via this wiki site and presented to formal governmental organizations at such a date and time as the community of international contributors deem appropriate. Wherefore we request that those who are unable to be present and debate orally with us at such a date and time as is announced here, may do so by comments and edits to this electronic document.
